The Burakumin are among the major members of the Communist Party Of Japan and have often engaged in pitch battles with the authorities in earlier years.
I really enjoyed going through your writing. I got to know about your Global Jigsaw(by the way, Global Rikshaw sounds like a better name... just joking, no maybe serious) from a video of you and Shashi Tharoor(however, I don't think, if trapped in a desert, Tagore would enjoy the company of Shashi Tharoor. Being alone, the feeling of thirst and the beauty of sand dunes would be enough fodder for him to write a dozen beautiful poems. Having the privilege of reading his writing in original Bengali, I can say Tagore was definitely the epitome of finding magic 🪄 in the mundane of nature. Perhaps there wasn't any emotion he experienced in his whole life which he had not put into his writing.).
I usually don't fancy having a "fancy cup of coffee", my home-made milk tea suffices for me.
In SW France for a millennium there was severe discrimination against the CAGOT. CAGOTs were identified thy their family names. Hence their intermarriage. Even today, intermarriage is marked.
The origin of the discrimination is unknown. The current explanation is that children sang derisory lists of the CAGOT family names and transmitted the stigma from one generation to the next.
Social apes love outcasts - scapegoats seem to be a universal.
Whenever I mention the burakumin to a Japanese friend or my wife they say it’s a problem of the past and now it’s irrelevant, but I have my doubts.

But the smell of this coffee seems really good.
It's good coffee - although your home-made milk tea sounds delicious too :-)
Thanks, dear Pallavi,
I learned something new.
