Hello. What a lovely piece. Aging is very hard. I walk around trying not yo catch sight of myself in mirrors or reflective surfaces. But to have it happen suddenly must have been even more difficult. The only thing that hrlps is having a group of girlfriends with whom one can age and swap secrets.
There's this joke that Asians look the same until they are 40, and then bam—they are ajumma, ah ma, insert-old-aunty-in-any-language. I don't know about that, but I saw how I aged a lot after becoming a mother. The sleepless nights for years are no joke. My childless friends seem younger than me, but I may be delusional. We all have to face growing old at some point, so staying fit and able is my top priority. However, I admit my skincare routine has expanded from two to six.
